The ways to visit my farm
1. Take the bus 51 from the Tsuen Wan MTR station(around 30 min). When you get off the bus in Kam Tin, take a taxi to the Tai Kong Po Wine House ($14.5). Then you can walk to my farm in 3-5 minutes.
2.You can take a mini bus No 602 from Yuen Long to Tai Kong Po village Wine House($5.5). After that you can walk to my farm in 3-5 minutes.
3.From Kowloon or HK Island, you can take the MTR to Mei Foo or Nam Cheoung. Change to the West Rail and get off in the Kin Shung Road station. Then take a taxi to the Tai Kong Po Wine House ($14.5). After that you can walk to my farm in 3-5 minutes.
4. Form Ching Yi MTR, you can take the bus 251M (around 25 min), then get off the bus in Kam Tin post office, take a taxi to the Tai Kong Po Wine House ($14.5). Then you can walk to my farm in 3-5 minutes.
5a. If you drive a car from Kowloon or HK Island, you can drive along the Highway NO 3 to Yuen Long. You will go through the Tai Lam Tunnel. Exit to Kam Tin. Before you go into Kam Tin city centre, in the roundabout turn to the Tai Po direction. In the second traffic light, turn right to Tai Kong Po village. Follow the Chi Ho Road to the Vegetable Collection Station (big white building). Turn right and drive along the road next to the artificial drainage. Turn right when you arrive to a very small bridge(left side have a big green door). Turn right to a parking area which is under many big trees just next to the green warehouse door. Then you can walk to my farm in 3-5 minutes.
5b. If you drive a car from the direction of Tai Po/Shatin, you can drive along the Lam Kam Road/highway to Yuen Long. After the small airport, you will go to a roundabout. You have to turn to the Yuen Long direction and turn to Tai Kong Po village in the first left turn. Follow the Chi Ho Road to the Vegetable Collection Station(big white building). Turn right and drive along the road next to the artificial drainage. Turn right when you arrive to a very small bridge(left side have a big green door). Turn right to a parking area which is under many big trees just next to the green warehouse door. Then you can walk to my farm in 3-5 minutes.
6. If you have many cars or drive a travel bus, after you follow the Chi Ho Road to the Vegetable Collection Station, Turn right and drive along the road next to the artificial drainage. When you see three directions, drive to the left (will see a big rock on your left handside) to the end of the road. You will see a huge parking area and a pink temple in front of you. You can park the bus here which is free. Then you can walk to my farm in 5-7 minutes.
Introduction of the owner/establisher of the farm
Hui Ching Yee, Hillary, who was a teacher in a secondary school for more than 15 years. In 2007 I had a huge change – quitted the teaching job and became an organic farmer. I rent a land in Kam Tin and start to learn how to grow different flowers and vegetables in an organic way. On the other hand, I hire some mental handicapped people to work in the farm in order to help them to become more independent.
I would like to thank many friends and students who gave lot of helps to me in this farm. Without your help, our farm will not be like this at all.
2010 October my farm will be 4 years old, I would like to think everyone who help me in these years and have gratitude for everyone and everything. I learned and gained a lot and my farm is much better now.
